Some stores are to open in December, says Beat Kahli, president of Avalon Park Associates L.P.
Kahli says Avalon Park has received more reservations for the 51 Flats rental apartments downtown. The one-, two- and three- bedroom apartments rent for $795 a month and up, and are set to open by Nov. 15 on three floors above the ground-level shops.
In addition, four restaurants, a bank and shops varying from dry cleaning to tae kwon do are debuting between Nov. 15 and Dec. 15, says Manager Shari Misturak.
Edwards Construction is the general contractor for the $8 million Flats project. Kahli says next year he wants to bring in a supermarket and a drugstore.
